Hi, I’m Chrissy Arellano

Odds are good that you have already met, or at least have seen zooming past, Bluestone's new Regional Manager Chrissy Arellano. “I'm at corporate. And I say that lightly.” Say what now? “My main office is at corporate, but I'm definitely on the move 75% of the time, which fits my personality. I can't sit still for too long.”

A native Nebraskan, Chrissy was born in Grand Island and grew up in Kearney, but has been in Omaha for 26 years. She's married with four kids (aged 2, 4, 12, and 16) and one dog. Sitting still for too long is probably not something she has to worry about.

Time away from work usually revolves around sports. Her older children play football year-round on a school team, a club team, and a travel 7-on-7 team. “Last month was Minnesota, this month is Vegas, next month is New Orleans, and DC is April.”

Luckily, all the zooming around the country fulfills another need, too. “Before we had all this crazy sports stuff going on, we made it a thing to go on at least one big vacation a year.” Due to all of the football travel, family vacations have been put on hold for now, but she looks forward to the next time she can get on a ship. “We're big cruisers. We like hopping on a cruise ship and hitting a couple different spots, but I would say Cabo was definitely one of the top faves. It's all-inclusive so you don't have to worry about where you’re going to go to dinner or whatnot. I'm a huge planner, but one time I don't want to be a planner is on vacation. I want to go with the flow, however I feel in the moment. So on a cruise it's nice because you can either choose to sit by the pool and relax, or you can go to a show, or in a few hours you could be stopping at a place where you can explore and go walk around and be more active.”

Chrissy doesn't have much time for TV except maybe an hour at the end of an evening watching cooking shows or HGTV. “I'm big on house flipping. I love the remodeling aspect.”

The Arellanos are very close to achieving a big family goal. They already have a boat and love taking the kids boating and camping, but there's one more piece that will make easy weekend getaways a reality. “We worked really hard to save up to get a condo in the Ozarks because that is one of our favorite spots. Right when we were ready to make our move, the market went crazy, so we kind of are sitting and waiting.” With all of that energy and drive, it seems likely that they will have that dream condo very soon. Good luck!
