Hi, I’m Brittany Myre

Regional Portfolio Leasing Manager, Brittany Myre, is another of the many November 2019 hires. She lives with a boxer (dog, not dude) who acts like a cat—never barking, always perching. “She’s so good, though. And yeah, she’s my crazy roommate.”

Though a Council Bluffs native, Brittany loves Omaha. “It’s kind of this hidden city in the middle of America that no one really knows about. But it seems like when they’re here, they love it.” What’s to love? “You have that feeling of a new city being built here, and then all the history, too. Especially with Bluestone Development, it feels like it’s kind of having a revival right now.”

Even in a short conversation, it quickly becomes apparent that when Brittany is into something, she’s all in. We’re talking laser focus. For example, her travel experience is very specific. “I’m a huge Yankees fan. Almost every trip I’ve ever been on in my life has been to see a Yankees game, but I’ve never been to New York.” But she plans to go, right? “Now I feel like it’s epic. I can’t just go, it has to be a Big Plan now because I’ve been building it up my whole life.” Until then, she’ll make do with other destinations, including Los Angeles and Nashville this year. But what about New York, home of her beloved Yankees? “I feel like that’s going to be like 2025. I want to spend a crazy amount of time planning.”

Another of Brittany’s finely-honed enthusiasms is the dri-triathlon. Consisting of a 2000 meter row, 300 bodyweight reps, and 5k on the treadmill, she has completed two of these at Orangetheory Fitness and can’t wait for the next one. While there are probably easier paths to Instagram fame, this is the one she’s chosen. Go Brittany!

Don’t worry that she doesn’t know how to chill, though. She’s a big fan of crime podcasts because—no surprise here—she’s able to get things done while still being entertained. And while Brittany can’t sit through a movie, “I feel like I could easily sit through 10 hours of TV shows. It’s something about the commitment.” Judging by her triathlons, commitment doesn’t sound like something she would ever have a problem with.

This is my desk.
