Hi, I’m Dana Crouse

Dana Crouse is a Leasing Consultant at Capitol District, and she's willing to go to any length to get to work. Specifically, a little over 100 miles round-trip from her home in Red Oak, Iowa. “I've contemplated moving up here so many times, but my daughters—they just refuse to move.” Dana has two adult twin daughters near her.

Like many of us, Dana had gotten into the Netflix binge scene for a while, but she has broken the habit. Now she'd prefer to go for a walk, “I just love, love, love, love being outside in nature or reading a book." Besides, she has enough projects around the house and yard to keep her busy. “I found out I'm really, really good at doing home improvement projects. I have learned how to install new light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, I can do drywall, I can refinish floors, you name it, I've learned to do it.” How did she gain all these skills? Dana credits research, practice, and YouTube videos, and she highly recommends gathering everything you need before you start. “Otherwise, you'll be halfway through something and realize. . .” and off to the hardware store you go.

One might think that with all that driving, parenting, home-improving, not to mention working, walking, and reading, Dana's plate would be full. But not so. She's also getting herself educated in cryptocurrency. “I've always been into investing. I've gotten a little into precious metals and things like that. I know crypto is going to be the way everybody does everything in the future. . . I just have to figure it out because there are thousands of them out there and that's the hard part, which ones are going to be the winners. It’s changing so fast it's hard for even the crypto people to be able to keep up.”

As for travel, there is a trip in her near future, but she's not sure if it'll be to the mountains or to a beach. “I would like to go on vacation with my daughters. One of my daughters is actually having a baby in November and so I would like to go on a litttle mini-vacation with my girls before she becomes a mom.” Congratulations, Dana, and get ready to add “grandmothering” to your skill set.
