Hi, I’m Jose Chavez

Lead, Sr. Maintenance Technician, Jose Chavez, was born and raised in Omaha. With no kids or pets (“Not yet”), he describes himself as open to adventure.

You might think that a single guy with no kids or pets, footloose, and open to adventure, would have a pretty rambunctious lifestyle. Not really, as it turns out. When he was younger, Jose used to hang out with a group of friends who shared his interest in cars. “We’d modify our vehicles, make them faster, look slicker.” So where is that fast, slick automobile? “I sold it, ended up getting myself into a nicer vehicle.” Adulthood comes for us all.

“I stay home most of the time now, kick back and relax.” Watching? “I'm really all over the place. I just finished watching Lucifer. . . and I really like action lately. With all this Marvel Universe dramatic stuff coming out, that's really caught my attention over the last few years.” But he's not always on the couch; Jose also enjoys fishing, as well as the “chilling in nature” that comes with it.

All this might sound like he's embraced the geriatric lifestyle, but not so. “If you were to run into me on a Saturday night, you might find me out on the dance floor.” Jose is a big techno fan, so it'll probably be a few minutes before he's ready for the rocking chair.

As for adventure, Jose hopes to visit Colorado or Utah before the end of the year. “I'm pretty simple, pretty chill. When it comes down to it, I like to sit back and relax, but if some plans come along, I'm never going to say no. . . I'm not looking for trouble, but if it comes my way, ok. I'll take it on.”

Here's wishing Jose good trouble before the snow flies.
